Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to Clinical & Molecular Biomedicine (CMB), authors are strongly advised to review the following checklist to ensure that the submission is complete and compliant with journal requirements.

• The manuscript complies with the journal’s ethical and formatting requirements.

Corresponding Author

Authors must ensure that one author has been clearly designated as the corresponding author.

The corresponding author must provide complete contact details, including:

• Email address

• Full postal address

• Telephone number

Required Files

Authors must ensure that all required files have been uploaded successfully, where applicable:

• Main manuscript file

• Title page

• Abstract

• Keywords

• Figure captions

• Tables

• Figures and artwork

• Supplementary materials

• Video or multimedia files

• Statements and declarations

• Permission documents for reused copyrighted material

Source Files

Authors must provide editable source files at submission and revision.

For manuscript text, authors should submit files in common word-processing formats, such as:

.docx

LaTeX

PDF files are not accepted as source files for manuscript submission.

Manuscript Formatting

Before submission, authors should check that:

• The manuscript uses a normal, plain font, such as 12-point Times Roman.

• The manuscript uses 1.5 line spacing.

• Pages are numbered using the automatic page numbering function.

• Tables are prepared using the table function, not spreadsheets.

• Equations are prepared using the equation editor or MathType.

• Tracked changes, strikethrough text, and unnecessary underlining have been removed, unless scientifically relevant.

Language and Accuracy Check

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

• The manuscript has undergone spelling and grammar checks.

• The language is clear, concise, and accurate.

• The text is consistent in terminology, formatting, and style.

• All sections are complete and correctly organized.

References

Authors must confirm that:

• All references cited in the text are included in the reference list.

• All references listed are cited in the manuscript text.

• References are accurate, complete, and formatted consistently.

• Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are included where available.

Tables and Figures

Authors should ensure that:

• Tables are editable and not submitted as images.

• Tables are numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

• Figures are submitted as high-resolution files.

• Figures are numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

• Figure captions are included in the main manuscript file.

• Any reused figure, table, or image is properly acknowledged.

Supplementary and Multimedia Files

Where applicable, authors should confirm that:

• Supplementary files are complete and clearly labeled.

• Supplementary materials are cited in the manuscript text.

• Video or multimedia files are clearly named and described.

• Each video file includes a representative still image.

• Multimedia files comply with the journal’s file-size requirements.

Declarations and Statements

Authors must provide all required declarations and statements, where applicable:

• Declaration of competing interests

• Funding statement

• Ethics approval statement

• Informed consent statement

• Consent to publish statement

Permissions

Authors must confirm that:

• Reused material is properly acknowledged in the manuscript.

• Permission documentation is available and can be provided to the journal upon request.

Cover Letter

A cover letter must accompany every submission. The cover letter should:

• Describe the scope, importance, and novelty of the manuscript.

• Disclose any potential competing interests.

• Confirm originality and exclusivity of submission to CMB.

• Acknowledge author contributions and funding sources.

• Suggest potential reviewers and optionally request exclusion of up to five reviewers.

• Provide complete contact details for all authors, clearly identifying the corresponding author.

Final Check Before Submission

Before clicking submit, authors should confirm that:

• All required files have been uploaded.

• All author details are correct.

• The manuscript follows the journal’s structure and formatting rules.

• References, tables, figures, and supplementary materials are complete.

• Ethical statements and declarations are included.

• Permissions have been obtained where required.

• The submission is complete, accurate, and ready for editorial assessment.
