License options, APC amounts, and waiver rules remain journal-specific.

The open access model depends on the journal. The selected model and any fees will be stated clearly on each journal page.

2. License Types

CC BY 4.0 (Attribution)

  • Allows maximum dissemination and reuse, including commercial use, with required attribution.

CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution–NonCommercial)

  • Allows reuse with attribution for non-commercial purposes only.

Important:

  • Always verify the available license options on the journal page before submission.
  • License selection may affect reuse permissions and funder compliance.

License options depend on the journal. If multiple licenses are offered, authors may be able to choose from the options below (as stated by the journal):

3. Article Processing Charges (APC) and Waivers

APC status

  • Some journals may offer $0 APC (Diamond OA).
  • If an APC applies, the fee amount will be displayed on the journal’s author information.

Waiver policy

Note:

To avoid confusion and ensure accuracy, APC amounts should be treated as journal-specific and must be confirmed on the selected journal page.

  • Waivers or discounts may be available for eligible authors (e.g., researchers without institutional funding or from eligible regions).
  • Eligibility and the application process are stated on the journal page.

APC policy is defined at the journal level.

4. Copyright

  • Authors retain copyright to their work.
  • Authors grant the publisher the right to publish the article under the stated license terms.
  • Authors can share and reuse their work according to the chosen license (e.g., in repositories, personal websites, teaching materials), with proper citation.

Editory Press supports author rights and transparent licensing.
